no one, not even the president, can sell the national parks. it's written into the law (as passed by FDR) that the parks are a natural part of the US, to be preserved for recreational use for generations to come. i'm not sure where you heard that ... but whoever told you was mistaken.

cbr600 - you're the idiot. it's not bush's fault we're in debt - and it's not his fault gas prices are so high. we've been "in debt" as a country for hundreds of years now, since the french revolution, and it's just continued to build ever since. and gas prices are high for so many reasons ... war and strife between countries, inflation ... and oh yeah, the fact that gas isn't a renewable resource!! as we demand and use more gas, the price is going to go up because we're running out ... regardless of how asinine you think the government is.

whatshername - people like you who believe everything they read contribute to make america a stupid country. do some research before you try to answer a question that you so obviously know nothing about. you just make yourself look totally idiotic to everyone else.

He's not actually 'selling off' our National Parks and Forests. That would be even too illegal for Bush to skirt around.

What he has been doing is 'leasing' certain large tracts of National Park and Forest land out to lumber companies, allowing them to conduct 'controlled' removal of trees.

With the oil companies it's the same. He is allowing them to explore for oil within the boundaries of our National Forests and Parks. This has been going on since Bush's first term, the process was started before 9-11.

This is fact. This is in the public.

Really!?!?! I live in Wyoming, and work in the oil field, so I would think I would know if we were increasing our drilling and lumber harvesting in our national parks. Surprisingly, I haven't seen it, Nice try though. You might want to do a little research tiger.

Duh... Why do you think? To support the ultra wealthy lobbyists that he does his bidding for. W is all about money and power (This includes oil & defense interests), so why would he do anything that would go against what his ultra wealthy friends want? Do you still beleive the Iraq war is about spreading Democracy?

Spying on the American people is written into law too, but he's doing that and no one is stopping him.

Did you really think W gives a cr*p about ordinary citizens and what is good for them?

Stop your outlandish, unsubstantiated claims.
