I wouldn't advise it. Next thing you know, you got a 75 year old pedaphile breaking in your house!

Yes, and if u aren't sure then that means something inside of u making u ask this question is telling u that it is wrong. It isn't bad unless if the person is like randome who might try to stalk u or something. Or if ur phone number gets out and someone trys to sell it to companies who want to call u every night o try to sell something.

Don't ever put down your number in any profile or any chat rooms. If you are in a private chat room then I don't see anything wrong with that. If you are looking for a date online you should get there number and call them. Once you find out if you don't like the guy then you don't have to worry about him calling you.

Not so much wrong, but a very bad idea. Instead, you could send it in an email, or something private so that freaks don't start calling you in the middle of the night.

I would not give it out in an open forum such as Yahoo Chat, Yahoo Personals or any public viewed personal web page.
It's a good practice to know the person who you give personal contact information in any venue.

It depends who you give it to. If you give to some stranger then yess ti is wrong. But if you are giving it to like amazon.com it is fine. People can track you down by your phone number too.

Your phone number can easiliy be used to locate your name, address, etc. Posting your phone # on the internet is like writing it on a bathroom wall!

If is your firs contact with that person, I think is REALLY WRONG. It is better if you get more knowledge about that person and when you feel is a good one, maybe then is the moment to give him/her you phone#

I think so. Most hackers/ idenity theives can access important numbers using small information, also you run the risk of being robbed.

Depends on the circumstances. If you are filling out a loan application on your bank's website.. thats fine. If you are in a chat room.... bad idea.
