I had sex with my boyfriend about a month ago, he used a condom but it was the first time we ever had sex and I don't know if we put it on right or if he came out of me quick enough after he came he stayed inside me for a while......

Anyway, I should have started my period 12 days ago and I haven't started yet, I'm usually quite regular, sometimes there's a couple of days difference but it's never been this late. Could I be pregnant even though we used a condom? What can I do? My mum will KILL me if I'm pregnant, I'm only 15. We only had sex once since then and we used a condom and I was going to go to the doctor and ask to go on the pill, but now I'm really scared I might already be pregnant. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

take a pregnancy test, if it comes up negative it might just be stress delaying you. Even though I have a regular cycle of 30 days while trying to conceive a second child with my husband I am now getting 45 or so day cycles and being 2 weeks late for no reason other than possibly stress.

If you are not pregnant please make that appointment with your doc and get yourself on birth control, or better yet don't have sex as it has been proven that nothing is 100% in preventing pregnancy except abstinance. A friend of my sister was having sex with her boyfriend of a few years while still in high school, I think your age actually. They were using a condom which did not break, and she was properly taking birth control pills and she still got pregnant. She carried full term and gave the baby up for adoption, went back to school a few months after delivery and graduated school on time. They were smart enough to know to use contraception and that they were both too young and not ready to raise a child, I think they made the right decision for them. They aren't together anymore so maybe it was a good thing to give the baby up for adoption. I just wish that there were more smarter young people out there.

If you used a condom you really should be ok, so try not to worry (I know that's easy for me to say but i've had a few scares too). I think you both would have known at the time if the condom hadn't been put on properly as it would have been noticeable and also uncomfortable for him. I've found that sometimes my periods are a bit late, and it's often been down to worrying myself sick about it. Have you done a test yet? You really should but one tomorrow and put your mind at rest. If you are, which i don't think you will be, but if you are, there's two pills you can get from the docs to stop anything further happening and you just need a check-up a wee while after you've taken the second pill to make sure they've worked ok. Do a test tomorrow though, but i'm sure it'll be negative. Good luck x

go to the doctor's you might just be pregnant and if you aren't then you are way too stressed out. If you are then you have to face the facts condoms don't always work and once you lay down you have opened yourself up to a whole new world. so, go get a test and if you are talk to your Mom before she finds out in a way you won't like.. meaning she could get really upset with you hidding it because of the health of the baby and put you into placement. Or you could tell her now and she could support you after she gets over the initial shock of you being pregnant. I know as a Mother I would never leave my child's side if this kind of thing happens. There is a lot going on in your body when you are pregnant and now isn't the time for people to up and leave you.

Good luck either way!
God Bless you too!!!

No offense, but you really should not be having sex if you are that young. I think your period can be late by a little after the first time you have sex, but I am not sure if it should be by that much. Go buy a home pregnancy test (or have someone do it for you) and see what it says. Def go to a place called Planned Parenthood (or something like that) where they can help you and mom won't have to know. And wait on having sex for a while because you are too young to have to be a mom and even to have sex. Good luck!

Listen, calm down. I know how scary this is for you. I had sex twice with a guy who is now my husband and got pregnant. We also used condoms both times. We never saw it coming.
Condoms only have an 86% chance of preventing pregnancy.

As far as telling your mom.....just tell her, be completely honest. Yes, she will probably freak out....mine did. But, she will eventually calm down. Any real mother will support her children through EVERYTHING!

If you are not pregnant....and you continue having sex.....getting on the pill would be a great idea, as long as you take it every day. Just remember, even if you get on the pill, you are still not protected from STD's.....so a condom should be used as well.

Good luck! I hope everything works out for you!

get tested, try a home test first, my friend and her boyfriend went to a fast food place so the parents wouldn't know about the chance. if you are then you need to talk to your mom, she wont be happy but she can help you figure out what you need to do next. if you aren't pregnant then you might want to think about not having sex again until you are older because the more you have sex the more pregnancy scares like this you will have. if you decide to continue to have sex get on the pill and stay on it, you might also consider using condoms even after you get on the pill because nothing is 100%. i hope everything terns out OK for you.

Yes you can, and you can also get pregnant while on the pill. Ever notice they don't say 100% effective. Go to the pharmacy and get a pregnancy test kit. It will either confirm your fears or disprove them.

It's not likely that your mum will kill you, though she may be disappointed, very upset or even screaming mad, but look at the odds. How many 15 YOs get pregnant each year and how many are killed by their parents? Not to make light of your possible situation but hiding your head in the sand and asking questions here will not make any difference in your condition.

Cara, don't listen to all these uptight preachers who say you are too young to be doing this.
Sex is a natural part of life from puberty onwards.
You have done nothing morally wrong at all.
In many countries of the world girls are married at that age,
and they don't go to hell, I assure you.

You used a condom which shows maturity and intelligence.

However, if you are pregnant, then this could become a big problem. I'm sure, in today's society, that you do not want to be a mother at the age of 15.
You need a test as soon as possible, and if it is positive, you are going to need an abortion.
Don't listen to stupid brainwashed kids and middle-aged fascists who tell you it's wrong. I'm European, and over here Abortion is part of life for people who make mistakes like you have.

Abortion is as wrong as using tippex correction fluid on a mistake you make when writing a letter - Your teachers tell you it's wrong,
but in the real world, people do it everyday.

Ok first of all it could just be that you are stressing out and that could cause you to be late on your period. Sometimes stress can cause you to miss your period for up to a month. Also it depends on what type of condom you used, was it a condom that had spemicide, and also like you said he could of just put it on wrong. There are pregnacy tests you can take that will let you know even after missing your period for 3 days.

First off, calm down. You don't know for certain yet. Second, if you want to find out for sure that you're pregnant, go to a Planned Parenthood or your local sexual health clinic and get a pregnancy test. Normally, these are free.

If you are pregnant, they can advise you as to your options and give you counselling or refer you to the appropriate counsellor. If you aren't at least you know what's going on and can be a hell of a lot more careful in future.

It's not the end of the world, so be cool. Find out one way or the other and then go from there. Good luck xx
