She didn't get fired, ABC just didn't renew her contract because she lost her popularity votes when she got married (people got tired of hearing about it and Al Reynolds) and when she lost the weight (she looks terrible). People stopped identifying with her and started not to like to new, arrogant Starr Jones. Ms. Walters tried to fight for her. Starr dissed Ms. Walters when she made the announcement before it was agreed that she AND Ms. Walters would do it together. This, now, ticked Ms. Walters off and Starr was told just not to return to the View at this point even thought she had some remaining days there. So, although she and Rosey do not get along, Rosey's hiring had nothing to do with Starr's exit.

I think Starr did exactly the right thing by not letting ABC blow
her off with a quick good bye their own way. She had every right to say what she needed to say. With Meredith Viera and Starr gone, and the loud, rude, uncouth, and totally obnoxious Rosey O'Donnell joining the show, ABC has lost me and most of my friends as viewers of The View. With the addition of Rosey O'Donnell the show takes a huge dive into a much lower class.

The View needs to have women on there that other women like. Starr Jones was not a very likeable woman. She was conceited, and too brash when talking to other people. I was sick and tired of hearing about her law degree for the millionth time. I, for one, am glad she's leaving. I'm looking forward to Rosie and her funny personality.

She ticked off Barbara Walters. That's like poking a tiger while wearing antelope underwear. Not smart. Not smart at all.

Rosie O'Donnel is going to be a host on the View, and they can't stand each other.
