Airport security taken to ludicrous levels, private phone calls being listened to, etc. And to call into question the First Amendment rights of the NY Times, under the guise of National Security?
This is just the tip of the iceberg. How could these things happen in the Land of the Free?

How sad when people use terms they have absolutely no idea about.
Airport security is not 'ludicrous', hell, it is barely even adequate.
Only phone calls with foreign numbers identified or suspected of being terrorist are listened to. Others get warrants for wiretapping.
The 1st amendment does not include publishing national security secrets.
But let me tell you about statism.
The government has been savaging the Constitution and Bill of Rights for the past century. And I'm talking real abuses, not these imaginary ones you listed.

Doesn't say something approximately Israel main the Ecstasy exchange and I could on no account think they would out produce American school pupils. If each and every American that desired one had a pot plant within the again backyard we would not must spend cash killing folks over it. The prisons could have room for murderers and thieves. It is your perception that America is slipping into anything except that which it must do to protect itself. It is called reality. Do some WWII research. And above all else try to understand "We really are at war".
