Not to be rude...but who actually cares about this stuff...I like MUSIC some RAP, some R & R, some R & B, some Country, some Classical, some etc. Why limit yourself to rap or rock?

Rock actually has talent, I mean it's a BAND that PLAYS instruments. Rap is just a bunch of thugs talking to sample music that couldnt come up with themselves.

There is a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, you will NEVER see a rap hall of fame, well yes you can, it's called prison.

I think rap. black people listen to it, white people listen to it. rock is more of a white thing even though blacks do listen and sometimes even make up rock bands. but those guys are people that have grown up in all white schools. but i get what people are saying. sometimes rap can be innapropiate and gets stale at times because they only talk about thug life, sex, drugs, and violence. but sometimes they rap about their moms and kids. rap can be gentle and sometimes it can be down right stupid.

In what way?
Radio stations? Its country and talk/sports.
Album sales? Again all divided in different catagories.
Concert Sales? Country and Rock (Kenny Chesney, Stones, U2)

Rap, is way down on the list. And as sad as it is, so is most rock.

there are many rockers in the world (including me & some of my friends) and many rappers in the world (all the popular kids in my school), but i think rap is more popular because more people listen to it.
