Don't bring up the issues of his previous marriage, he wants to forget all about it.
Don't be jealous of what he dis or not do with his ex-wife...it's over and you cannot change the past.
If he wants to talk about his kids or issues ...listen, but don't try to take over. He just want you to listen not to fix it.
Don't pressure him into marriage. He just got rid of one and it will take time before he tries again, and is not because you are not worth it of it, the man maybe scared that things may turn the same way.
He is free now and he will like to enjoy freedom, so give him his space.
Good luck

Happiness is a state of mind, and only he can make up his mind to go on with life or being happy! Just be his friend and listen to his issues, advise him when he asks for it. Otherwise, don't bring it up.

You cannot make anyone happy. They control their emotions.
