yes that is fairly normal. But let me tell you this once you see that baby. All that will change. Everything that you hoped for will be that and more. and the day that baby calls you mom and dad will be the best feeling you have ever felt. and even more when he or she says I love you. Dad will be really happy when the baby screams his name and runs to his arms after he comes in from a day at work. He will forget how tired he is and there is alot of things that you will live. Good luck and Congratulations! Another thing make sure you tell your baby every day that you love him.

I was a little scared when pregnant with my first child. I was a little scared about how it was going to change my life and just scared about the fact that there was going to be a child that was 100% dependent on me. I was about to be responsible for another life. But, all of my fears went away the minute I held that beautiful child in my arms because I was a mom. I knew that my priorities were all different. I didn't care about the life changes anymore and I knew that I was going to be a good mom because I loved that baby so much! Don't worry!

Yes its very normal and you'll probably go from excitement to fear throughout the entire pregnancy. Im currently 29 weeks and I keep thinking "11 more weeks is too much time and yet not enough time." I think its natural. Don't worry, once you're holding that baby all the fear will disappear.

it's perfectly normal. it's an exciting time but there are so many fears that come into your head.
might I suggest a book for you "man"?
Armin A Brott's "The Expectant Father"
This book help my husband deal with his fears and told him just what to expect in each month of my pregnancy. It's well written and kinda funny too and it's not as scarey as some of the women geared parenting books. I actually prefered it to my copy of "What to expect when you're expecting" and "Your pregnacy Week by week"
Good luck and enjoy this time together. Get lots of sleep!

perfectly normal, my hubby and I felt the same way when we found out that I was pregnant with our first baby, even though that pregnancy was planned. I think it is more of a hear of the unknown and weather you are going to be a good parent or not. Now we are trying for our second baby and are probably going to feel the same.

Congradulations and Best of luck. It is scary and exciting. Take it a day at a time and you will do fine. Teach them right from wrong and correct them when they don't do something right. Teach them manners and responsibility. Don't spoil them rotten and give them everything they ask for. Make them earn it. God Bless you all.

Yes. Having children is a scary thing. You're going to something unknown. It's ok to feel a mix of emotions.

Congrats! Very normal, will probably get scarier towards the end because it's unfamiliar to you. Go out and enjoy each other and have fun, once the baby comes it will be harder to be spontaneous.
