If I remember correctly items can be placed for sale after 45 days, it may depend on the laws of each state though. And yes you can find some good deals at pawn shops, one here sells all cd's and dvd's for four bucks, also my mom used to get some great bargains on diamond jewelry!

Depending on which state you are in, the laws are different as to how long the items are in pawn. Contrary to popular belief, not all pawnshops are shady buisnesses. I work at a pawn shop and to make sure nothing we take in is stolen, we report everything to the police every night.

Moving on, it all depends on which pawnshop you go to. I've been to some that will serioulsy over price you. Then others have fair prices. It just depends on the buisness owner, as there really is no "pawn shop owner's manual" to follow. My best advice for you would to be would to compare prices like you would with anything, make sure you are able to try out the item before you buy it, and find out if there is any return policy should the item stop working.

As far as I know , if you pawn one item they will charge ffive percent interest for every monthe for three months. Within this period you must get back your item or pay the interest , or else you can not get them back. They will let you know if your item will go on sale. It is the time for bargain hunters to buy cheap item they like.

Pawn shops are ripoffs. You are better off using ebay or some other acution site. Pawn shops buy stuff from people.. they give you the lowest price possiable.. then they jack up the price tremendsly and sell to other people.. thats how they make thier profit.
