You just change it by going to edit my infor and click on edit my avatar. Why do you want to put a girl on there anyways?

First- Log on to your yahoo mail.
When you see the pic of your avator click on it
Look at the top right corner and click on preferences
then click on change gender

what do you mean? there is a selection on the avatar custimation page that lets you pick male or female when you first make it.
