You may find this to be counter-productive in your attempts to pick up more traffic from the Search Engines. Link farms have become poison to SEO and using them may harm your position.
May I suggest you try your regional Chambers of Commerce (often free display to area businesses), Small Business Development Center, contact your local PTA's and local sports leagues (many have web sites now).
