No, meteors fly by earth all the time. Just smaller ones. You only hear about the big ones. Its natural phenomenon. Not a sign from God.

Of course not! Check out a website for NEO's (near Earth objects) and you will see that the Earth is bombarded by thousands of objects everyday. Most burn up in the atmosphere but some of the larger objects at the correct entry angle can make it through. Look at the Moon, do you think that the Earth was not as bombarded and so cratered as the Moon? We have an atmosphere the Moon doesn't, so our impact craters have been weathered away through eons of time but we have been hit just as often as the Moon's cratered surface. On average the Earth has a big hit every 200,000 years. The last one was at Tunguska in 1908 when a comet exploded in our atmosphere, flattening millions of Acres of forest. Check it out on the net. It has nothing whatever to do with God it is just nature. Jules, lecturer.Australia.

Personally I don't . Meteors fly by the Earth and close to it all the time. The one you should be concerned with will be coming with 20,000 miles of the Earth in 2029 that is really close in cosmic terms a more toward the left and we will be nothing more than what we once were cosmic dust...

no...... meteors fly over earth lots of time. its just a natural thing. i mean if it were a message from god, then it would be something a lot bigger than just a meteor striking earth. they are just a part of our solar systems and most of them come from the nearby asteroid belt. sometimes they just get knocked of course and are basically directed over to earth.

No.
I believe in God, but occurances like this are much more common than you think. Meteors are constantly buzzing around the solarsystem. They've passed Earth billions of times, for all we know.

No...that is just a fluke of nature. God doesn't need a meteor to send signs. He can speak to us in a simple whisper.

No. It's an asteroid that's gonna fly close to us on monday. By the way, "close" is a relative term - it will still be further away from us then the Moon is.
