it's fascinating to see how differently various people think and feel about the same question, so this site serves a great purpose in helping to make that observation possible. this is a valuable lesson in how different we all are, and might help to make us more tolerant of one another--definitely time well spent. also, it's probably good not to be obsessive-compulsive about being constantly busy and "accomplishing" important tasks at all times. kicking back and just "being" is good for the complexion, and sense of humor.

Because people are lazy and don't want to google the answers to their questions.
People are bored at work.
People are in love with the idea of being able to attain status in their community through an easy method. Even though we are perfectly capable of doing so in real life, the internet allows us to do it in an anonymous method from the comfort of our cubicle.

I am working! Between answering questions, there is the phone, a customer, a document, something to mail out. This helps keep me alert, informed, and as long as you answer some really thought provoking questions it helps you expand your mental horizon.

This site is for people who have questions (everyone) People with spare time (very few) and people who don't have jobs (the unemployed and people under the age of 15)
