I don't know too many women that care for stuffed animals, but women want to be respected, loved, cared about and appreciated. Men usually take us for granted, and usually they complain about women nagging or griping because for some reason men can dish it out, but they can't take it. If men gripe about something 20 times and a woman does it once, she's exceeded the expected limit. Cause apparently we should just stand there and accept everything with a smile.

I have no idea, I never go shopping for anything cuddly like that. I have a stuffed animal collection from my younger days, I have over 300 stuffed animals. I got most of them from them teddy bear machines at stores, I just though they were cute, I never actually cuddled with them. I won't let no one throw them out either.

I think the question is about girls (teen to 25) and not about women. I have observed that the girls - who are lonely - and have no equal age friends - or girls who are going away from their parents / family - find an easy companion in those cuddly matters. I have seen those girls even talking to the teddy bears - as though those cuddly could reply....! I think the cuddly animals give them a sense of security - when they feel lonely and insecure.

I have never shopped for stuffed animals, they have been gifts. I have never understood that. I am not in to stuffed animals. I think they are a guys way of getting something when they have no idea what to give. They need more imagination! WOMEN do not need stuffed animals. We're women for Christ sake! Not little girls!

Woman don't shop for cuddly animals...they are usually gifts from men. I, for one hate them. If she needs a cuddly animal then you may be dealing with girl because if I need something to cuddle, my man is enough for me.

Different women look for different things (one friend of mine gets every stuffed giraffe that she can get). Right now, I get those with the thought that my cat is going to get them, sooner or later.. :)
Actually, I got one, and that was for the cat - the rest _are_ gifts, actually.
What I like about them (cannot answer for anybody else, I am certain) - they are soft, the ones I like are very very nice to touch - and it gives my hands something to play with when I am nervous. Not much time for that when typing on a pc :)

ok! your ringing my bell here!! jk... first of all your talking about stuffed animals or real life animals?? stuffed animals, uh..i dont think, i ever really went shopping for them not even as a kid. live animals, uh...no. but what certain women DO like to do is visit the pet shops. i mean it may seems retarded for those animal haters, but for those who love to pet the rabbits, hug the puppies, look at that mice run around in circles, and play with the kittens, its a big thing to stop and watch, not SHOP just watch.
another thing, having 'cuddly animals' (is that how they are distinguished in london??) is a big thing for animal lovers (like me) and having a pet at home like i do with my deaf rabbit, can make a big difference. i mean i hate shopping for useless things like makeup or boots or skirts, i shop when i NEED things. if you ever see my closet, i have set of sandals, one set of sneakers, one set of formal shoes, it annoys to worry about the most uneccessary things in life. i dont even carry purses, they are so uncomfortable. BUT when it comes to going to the mall, people like me, would never miss the chance to stop and visit the pet store.
just put it this way, theres a bigger chance of you seeing me buying an expensive kiddy toy for my rabbit than a set of tangtops at the mall.

I got a stuffed animal from my grandma when I was 11 and I can't sleep without it. I guess we women just love something we can cuddle that is really soft {well, i guess we have bf/husbands for that too......oh well}
