i got my last period may 26, (that's when i also stopped BC)i'm very regular, so i was supposed to get my period again on june 24, no signs of it...i'm trying to get pregnant, and have been with no BC and having unprotected sex for the whole month of june, so when i didn't get my period i was exited, so i waited a few days, and today i took a pregnancy test...(june 28) and it came out negative...can anyone tell me what could be happenning? did i take too soon>? could i be pregnant? PLEEEEASE HELP ME

I know it can be very frustrating. Because this is your very first cycle off of birth control it may just be a funny cycle. You could be late because of stress, or because your body's getting used to its natural rhythms and listening to itself again.
Of course, there is also the possibility that you are pregnant, but if you turn out not to be, understand that the first cycle off birth control can be funny for some people.
Lots of luck to you! Be patient if possible, or work off the nervous energy somehow if it's too difficult :).

Yes, you could be pregnant, but not necessarily. It could be too soon to know. The hormonal changes that happen in pregnancy take a couple weeks to kick in, but remember also that BC helps regulate your cycle so you might not really be regular without. It also takes a while for all that extra hormone (from the BC) to leave your system. Your best bet, if your period hasn't come yet about 10 days after it is due, check again with a pregnancy test. If it still comes out negative, make an appointment to check get a professional test and/ or pelvic exam with your doctor.

Sometimes it can take a while for a positive result. Today is the 28th, so wait until Fri. and re-take another one. If you haven't started by Monday and you are still getting a negative result, then call your doctor. They will most likely have you come in and either they will do a pregnancy test or a pelvic exam to find out what is going on.

Pregnancy test can be wrong. I would go to a doctor in about a week or take another one in a week and then go to the doctor. Best of Luck
