It's completely normal. Your breasts can produce milk for up to one-year after you give birth or stop breastfeeding.

Yes it is normal up to continue producing milk. I went through a similar situation, I only breast fed the first 2 days after I gave birth, but continued to produce some milk until about a year. The best advice I can give you is not to take showers that are to hot, as this stimulates milk production. It will stop in a couple of months though. Just have some patience, especially because your going to need it during the next year or so. :-)

Yes, very normal. Stop squeezing, and it will stop producing.
If you leave your breasts alone, they will stop producing milk in a few weeks to a few months. (Longer than that is probably the sign of a problem; milk production can continue for up to a year, but this is uncommon unless you have nursed for a year or longer.) Every woman is different, but if it continues for more than 6 months when you *stop* stimulating it to produce more, see your doctor.

Just stop squeezing the breast and it will eventually "dry" up. It will take some time to stop producing milk but it will happen. Like I said, stop making the milk come out because as long as you keep "expressing" the milk your breast will keep making milk.

Yes, it is. I was unable to nurse my daughter, so therefore, I pumped for 5 months. But, after I stopped pumping, I still had a little milk - like you - only if I squeezed. My doctor told my that it was completely normal & that women can still produce milk for up to a year after they stop nursing. Unfortunately, the only thing you can do is wait it out until it stops on its own.

My right breast is still producing milk (just enough to leave a tiny spot on my shirt) and I never breastfed my 3 month old. I also haven't started my period yet. Is that because there is still milk?

Lotta immature answers on this question.
As for the cabbage leaves, DO NOT use them... they actually enhance milk production. People need to get their facts straight.
You must have some very healthy milk glands which is great. Time will dry them out again... wear bras all the time, even when youre sleeping because even the slightest rub from a shirt will trigger it. Enjoy your baby. :)

Not to worry. As your hormones get more balanced after birth (I know, 5 months seems like a long time) you'll stop lactating.
For now, a blotting pad in your bra can make accidental spills less noticeable.
Congrats on the new little one!

I know someone who's breast is still producing milk after 6 years! Sorry that doesn't help your situation. But I was just trying to let you know that you aren't alone out there. :)

Yes. it is somewhat common for you to produce milk for a while, even though your not breast feeding.
Don't be too concerned.
