You won't need permission if you are above the legal age to get a tattooo in your state. As for being a loser, anyone who calls u a loser for getting a tatto is a loser themselves. Tattoos are a form of self expression. i have many some people don't like mine but I DO!
I say get the tat. if you like it!

If youmust have a tatoo, I guess the tatoo artist could tell you if you need permission.

I'd like to have a miniture version of the battle of Endor on my left shoulder, so I'm in no position to say whether your choice is 'loser'ish or not.

especially if someone asked you what it was and you told them it was a skull from star wars....
i mean, how embarassing, you're at a party and some girl compliments your tattoo.
"OH THANK YOU, IT'S THE SKULL FROM STAR WARS!"
