Hey, I ride a YZ 125 and am not super familiar with the RMZ's but it does sound like you need a new seal/gasket. My sprockets have nothing to do with any oils, so I am a little confused as to how yours are related. Your dad is right though, anytime there are random oils around, you are risking major problems with a 4-stroke. I would call your nearest Suzuki dealer and talk to them. If you live in Canada, call WALT HEALYS in Calgary and they should help you. Thats where I work part-timie - but I am not there now and don't have a parts- fiche in front of me!

Yes, leaking makes sense... if there is enough oil on the engine or exuast it could catch on fire, but probably won't. Just make sure to check oil levels after putting the sprocket back on.

no it is not supposed to leak oil there the problem is the seal around the shaft needs to be replaced check your crankcase vent hose to make sure it is not plugged if it is that would increase crankcase pressure causing the seal to blow

Of course it is supposed to do that! Why do you think they put the sprocket there in the first place?
Just see to it that the sprocket is put back - whoever.

You simply have a seal that needs replacing.

no its not supposed to do that, check your brake or see if it is some crap that came off if you just got done washing it.
