Doctors usually go by the date that you got your last menstrual cycle. If your saying it was March 18, that would make you about 14 weeks. They figure your due date by adding 7 days to March 18, which would make it March 25. Now you count backwards 3 months from March 25, this would make it December 25. Give or take, you will due sometime around Christmas. Congratulations and Best Wishes!

You get pregnant between cycles. So 2 weeks after the first day of your last period is WHEN you got pregnant but the doctor will add those two NON pregnant weeks when he tells you how far along you are. Why? Because they can't know for sure EXACTLY which day you conceived so they just use your last menstrual cycle.
With a 35 day cycle it really makes it difficult to say when you got pregnant. I have 7 kids. You subtract 3 months from the first day of your last period and add 7 days. That is what the doctor will do no matter how many days your cycle is and will do a sonogram anyway to document the size of things to get a better estimate on dates.

Are you sure these dates are right? If your last period began on March 18th, then you are 13 weeks along and should have seen a doctor by 8 weeks. You're due sometime near the end of December, but an ultrasound will give you the exact date.

You start from the first day of your LMP - 3/18 - to today is: 14 & 1/2 weeks. You are due around: December 18. You might even have a Christmas baby. When is your first Dr. appt? You should have one very, very soon.

To determine your estimated due date you go one year from the first day of your last period.... March 18th to March 18th then subtract 3 months so due date should be on or around December 18th

I just went to the doctor for the first time also. The pregnancy calender I did on line was 100 percent accurate. Since your information is so precise it should be accurate.

12 weeks already? An ultrasound will verify. Hopefully you are already started on pre-natal vitamins.
