Well, other than the obvious answer "wash it" I would assume you can't reach into it because it is too narrow for your hand. If this is the case, you can put a small amount of ice cubes in the bottom of the vase and add some salt, swirl it around. The salt acts like an abrasive and will help remove any residue left on the inside of the vase. Or you could purchase a bottle brush like what is used to clean baby bottles and use that.

You can get a [baby] bottle brush from the dollar store and use it to wash your vase. Plain old soap and water will do the trick.
One other proactive measure you can take is to change the water every other day or so when you have flowers in it. That will cut down on the build-up of hard to clean residue, etc.
I hope this helps.

depending on what/ how it's dirty, you can use several different things. If you have left flowers in it and the ends have molded and stuck, you can fill it with hot water and soap and let it sit. I have also used a table made for cleaning dentures, like Efferdent, just put the tablet in the vase, add water and let it soak, you may have to use more then one table to work. Vinegar and water also works well. good luck

Fill vase with warm water and add 2 or 3 Alka-Seltzer tablets. Let tablets dissolve completely, drop in 2 or 3 paper towels, swish around, empty and rinse. Works pretty well.

They sell those brushes with handles in stores like bed bath and beyond or linens and things...you know home specialty stores that get into tight areas. If you are unsure as a sales associate and they will help you out. good luck.

use soap and warm water. if you have mineral deposits, you can use a baking soda and water mixture as a mile abrasive.
