Could be the tanning bed is dirty. Most likely from previous users (sweat/body oils) ..... Have the attendant clean/sanitize the bed before you lay on it. If that doesn't help, use a different kind of tanning oil, or shower immediatly after using the tanning bed. (to remove excess oil)

I would stop that tanning bed until you know what is causing this. It could be the cream you're using, if any, with it. It could also be that medicines or supplements you are taking are causing a sun sensitivity (like an allergic reaction to the sun). If you're not taking anything internally that could cause this and not putting on anything topically, it could be your own body's reaction to the tanning bed and sun. Autoimmune diseases can show up in skin reactions to the sun, so it's nothing to mess around with. Check with your doctor.

Make sure to moisturize after tanning. The sun dehydrates your skin. You'll need an after tanning lotion, that will help to maintain your tan for a longer period of time, and regular moisturizing lotions on a daily basis.

It is your skins and bodys reaction to the ultra violet rays. It is a burn response. You should reduce the time in the tanning bed so that you don't get the bumps. Your body is telling you something, listen to it.
