Since "Load" I'd say Megadeth but that new song Metallica played in Berlin is very promising. The new album may actually be pretty good. The last Megadeth album wasn't so great, though, so it will be interesting.

Megadeth. Because they are heavier than Metallica. It seems like Metallica has slowed down a bit

MEGADETH!! Although I love Metallica and appreciate that they are exceptionally talented musicians and song writers, I just love more Megadeth songs to death than I do Metallica songs and I think its f****ing amazing that Dave Mustaine created something so ingenious after being kicked out of Metallica.

ok i am a HUGE fan of both and here's why ....
metallica was my first influence and thier music has always had a profound effect on my musical direction ....Lars Ulrich was my first drumming influence before Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater
megadeth has been my favorite music to relate to emotionally ...when im sad or angry i always put in a megadeth CD ..its my own personal therepy
remember there would be no Metallica without Megadeth and no Megadeth without Metallica
and for all of those idiots bashing these great bands keep your stupid F**ked up opinions to yourself ...

Tough one...Certainly Metallica's sound went deeper and more rounded after "And Justice For All" so they became truly separate bands. For me, the variety of material, the commitment to evolve their sound and the openness to different styles pushes Metallica ahead of Megadeth, who, for all they put out kickas* metal, still feel fairly single-minded in their approach.

Metallica - like the lyrics better, I suppose they mean something to me. Plus Megadeth suck! Seether or Staind? That would be a question worth answering.
