It depends upon how many visitors you will have. What is schedule.
In olden days traditional hindu marriage would be for 5 days, which came down to 3 days and now it is 1 day. It starts on Day one evening and ends on Day 2 afternoon.
Ignoring food expenses, a wedding would cost as follows
Hall with A/c approximately 25K (in Chennai)
Pujaris / Guru / Priest - 10K
Flowers and other items - 5K
Additional Expense might be about 5K
Rest of the expenses depends on your visitor count.
All amounts in INR (1USD = 45 INR)

In Indian Hindu weddings the majority of the expenditure is borne by the girls side and the minimum that the bride's family would have to spend would be about Rs. 3,00,000.This is the least figure that i am giving you. Normally it would be much much much more.

A Hindu marriage can be solemnized in Indian Rupees 2,500/= to 10,000,000 or more depending upon the number of guests to be entertained, treat to be offered, place of ceremonies, quality and quantity of gifts and kind of entertainment (Music, dance etc.) offered on the occasion.

If it is a arranged marraige the girls parents would pay all the expences.
it depends on how much the girls parents can afford.. some times they spend millions of dollors just for the marrige,
