I don't think the world would be any different. Maybe people would be a little nicer to each other, maybe there wouldn't be as much hatred, because everyone would know that their days were truly numbered and they should make the most of their lives to improve the world. Then again...since we do not know when our day will come (it could be later today or tomorrow) should'nt we already be savoring our lives? Only a select few people know how to actually enjoy every day of their lives and spread that to others.

It would matter if that information was only personal knowledge, or if everyone knew the day that everyone else would pass away.

The criminal justice system and punishments would change radically. A life sentence would take a new meaning.

People in some cases would probably procrastinate less.

Though risk taking would increase. People would still be concerned about getting maimed, or comas, etc.

In the end you hope it would cause people to redeem the time that they had, as opposed to turning to fatalistic despair.

It would be very different but not in a good way.I think all the life will be focused about that moment. We will think:Oh I have only 5 days to live what should I do.That's creep I don't want to know.

i think people with a relatively "short time to go" would focus maximally on doing the "important" (to them) activities, rather than assuming that they could fritter away the time on trivialities. also, since the time remaining would be so precious they would want to spend it with those they cared about most, while avoiding petty quarrels and disagreements. of course, those that had a "long time left" might well just take the usual somewhat unworried---i'll take care of that tomorrow--approach . in any event, as reality stands now, since most of us don't have such info., i think its been said that one should treat each day as though it were his/her last so as to make it as worthwhile and fullfiling as possible in every way. this seems very sensible since any day could well be "the last". so, as a direct answer, many more people would be spending less time " wasting time" and would be careful to be as kind as possible, especially to those closest to them.

you'd find people doing crazy things and you'd have no choice but to let them be because they'd die the next day and if they're a wacko, they'd kill anybody because they want companions.

that's the black picture.

here's the blue sky picture...
People would be extra nice to each other. Business would boom because people would like to indulge themselves with their loved ones.
The funeral business would no longer be a boring industry. People can chose which casket they want, they can choose their clothes, yah know how vain people get even to their last minute on earth. haha!

There would no longer be unfinished business on earth.... No more ghost haunting people. :)

It would really depend upon the individual and their belief system. I think societies as a whole would collapse into a pit of apocalyptic chaos and that is because I consider myself and optimist..lol

I think it would be really different, because you wouldn't waste your last few days (weeks, months) on trivial things in your life. It might be more important to let things go and fixate on the important issues.

But the reality is that we can actually choose to some extent the day we chose to die. You can decide to go today. You can go earlier than scheduled if you really desire.
