Thanks those are some great ideas! I will let my husband know and then we can go from there!I like the Beach and yes i know it is going to be FULL of Locals!We watched fireorks last year at the Bay and that was a hassle!But we will be prepared this year,to fight the crowds.If not we might celebrate our own day earlier,and have a family weekend and go to the zoo and mueseums.

I work with toddlers and have found outside activities to be the best. I would suggest perhaps a local park.

Get drunk, pass out...they won't even know your gone b/c they'll be watching the fireworks

Go to the beach let them play in the sand and dip their feet in the water............... find a good fireworks show.......... go to a parade............... something like that
