Yes, you can't play for a Football Federation if you aren't citizen... And it's true to say who has more nationality must choose only 1 federation... Mauro German Camoranesi is Argentinian, has double nationality, Italian ancestors, is playing in 'serie A' since many years and never picked up by Argentinian coaches. So, now, he's an impressive Italian midfielder.

Yes, you must be a US citizen to play for the National team. Also, as long as the player has not played an international match with another country.
For example: Freddy Adu can either play for Ghana or USA. He can only play for one not both. Personally, he can go play for Ghana.

the factor is that as quickly as you're a properly primary soccer participant and the team you're on is prevailing and doing good because of the fact of you, then different communities international extensive will opt to have you ever play for their team as properly. What happens is a soccer participant CAN play for 2 or greater international places reckoning on the settlement they sign. David Beckham has a settlement to play fo usa and England. yet chosen to play for England in the time of the international cup. often with a properly primary soccer megastar like David Beckham communities might attempt to outpay the country he's twiddling with now so he can circulate and play for their u . s .'s team. David is nonetheless from england Take it from me. i understand approximately soccer and that i'm all approximately soccer.
