I dare call it a sport? Can someone enlighten me here? Is it considered a sport now or are we still calling it an event or gathering of no talent hacks or same sex friendly gents( thanks yahoo for the violation earlier, im trying to be more pc here)....anyone know?

Look at the kiss @ss Mr. Retardo Jr. It is called FOOTBALL you ignorant sh*t face c*ck master. Your NFL is the lamest, you run a play for 2 seconds then wait 1 minute before you do another 2 second play gaining only 1 yard, you have 300 lb. men grab each other and trying to get each other on the ground(that sounds pretty gay to me). Why do people in the NFL wear so many pads, oh yeah they are to wimpy and gay they don't want to get hurt- look at rugby no pads and not gay. Footballers(soccer players for you) have more talent in the pinkie finger then in some steroid injected fat @ss's whole body. You are probably to fat and out of shape to run for 45 minutes straight with side tackles and elbows to the face.

Any sport as physically demanding as soccer that brings some of the best athletes in the world together for competition cannot be considered lame. This truly is international competition at its best. I prefer watching hockey over soccer but wouldn't it be great to see the Stanley Cup staged as an international event such as this.

I wouldn't call it new (it started in the late 1800's), but I agree, because you don't understand and it's a girl sport in the US it doesn't mean it's lame.. lame is a game that takes 3 hours to play but in reality the ball in on play for 60 minutes... That's very typical, calling the most popular sport in the world lame - just because you guys are not good at it!

First of all, it´s not called soccer, the real name is football. Why would you call it lame? only because the Americans SUCK BIG TIME at it. For me lame would be golf, tennis, and of course American Football, the sport were plays last about three seconds, and some overpaid MORONS pad their asses in congratulation for tackling another MORON with the IQ lower than that of a Monkey. Don´t be such fags, play without helmets and paddings like they play rugby and Australian Rules Football.

Sure it is a sport, dude, but you have to learn the game. Iused to think it was terrible too with no results (goals), but once you learn it and watch it, then it will become extremely cool. I do agree with you, though, on the basic worthlessness of liberals.
