It should be a 'kariophobe'. The Greek for shrimp is, apparently, 'karis'. (Mixing Latin and Greek is really not on, I'm sorry!) Sorry, too, Dory, yours is way too long - but it would look good in a medical report!

Of course you could go for Shrimpwimp or Prawnscorner.

The tiny stuff that some whales eat by straining it through their mustaches is called 'krill' and I believe that a lot of it is tiny shrimp-like animals. 'A' is often used to denote the negative aspect of something - agnostic, for example means 'not knowing - so how about 'akrillic'?

Someone allergic to seafood. Anti-shrimp??? I think shrimpophobic and shrimpophobia are words because I saw it used before on the internet by some talk show host or whatever... And, someone allergic to Iodine because scientists think that Iodine is the cause of why people are allergic to seafood such as shrimp because Iodine is in the foods.

His name is Colin.

There may be other people who suffer the same problem, and are *not* called Colin, but I don't know any. Nor do I know any people called Colin who *aren't* afraid of shrimp, so there may be some kind of connection.

I would hesistate to generalise so much as to reach the conclusion that ALL people called Colin are shrimpophobes, but it would be safer to assume that they are, proceed with caution, and avoid any embarrassing sudden prawn incidences.

yes, there probably is
apparently, in "Northern Exposure," "glacier dropsy" causes a fear of shrimp...a sufferer of glacier dropsy is afraid of shrimp...so is a shrimpafraidiac (that may or may not actually mean anything)
there isn't really a specific term for a phobia of only shrimp...but, if you add "-phobia" to the greek name, then you have it
making up names for people afraid of shrimp...i must really be bored

I think the fear of shellfish is the nearest you're going to find. I just looked up shrimps but couldn't find a word for a phobia of them. Maybe if you find out the latin name for them and stick "phobia" at the end, that would work.
