No, but be careful what you download. Sometimes, you might download something that isnt what you are looking for and it can take up hard drive space. When downloading try and be certain from the title of what you are downloading. You can also use the preview button while downloading music to see if your are downloading the right song you want. If you want to go even further, you can upgrade to Limewire PRO. It increases secure downloading, but you do have to pay for it every month. If you don't want to upgrade then just trust your instincts. And to answer your question once more: No, downloading Limewire does not give you viruses, but downloading the wrong files might.

After i downloaded limewire I had all kinds of problems on my computer for a long time. This error message popped up constantly and wouldnever stop. I dont know what I did that finally got it to quit, I think it was removing all of the limewire software.

I don't care what anyone tells you ... free, shareware etc software comes with spy-ware ... download and install a shareware or freeware program then run these programs and you'll see you have new spy-ware installed.

Zerospyware & Ad Aware Se .... get them from www.download.com
