Because you're inviting them to look at you by drawing attention to yourself. Don't say it, and they won't look.

Revers Psychology. When you say something, the brain comprehends to look. When you say look at me, some heads will turn, but you'll have to say it again because of reverse pschology. Not everyone will look when you say don't look. It's how the creative side of a person's brain works.

because you are drawing attention to urself by talking. and if u say dot look at me it make people interested to see what u dont want them to. If you dont want people to look at u then just dont say anything.
