Im sorry. but kissing between a man and woman promotes HOMOSEXUALITY? Are you kidding?
Kissing and sex scenes in GOOD movies is usually there to advance the plot, tell something more about the characters, or to show the audience how connected the two characters are. Sex scenes, nudity and such in BAD movies, is just there to tittilate the audience or advance the plot, show a connection between the characters, etc.
You know, in the US we expect people to view such material with a mature eye. If I disagree with something being shown on TV, I turn the channel, or turn the TV off completely. If scenes of this nature bother you, dont go to see US movies with those scenes, I guess. Are you really so afraid your countrymen dont have the selfcontrol needed to see kissing on the screen without trying to perform oral sex on their best friends? If thats the case, I would suggest you see a lot more kissing and sex scenes in movies, so you can build up a tolerance for it. Just dont shower with any of your buddies until you have that tolerance.

I was just going to ask that question. Thank you for saving me 5 points.I was thinking that maybe most of the people go to the movies to see their particular actors, and directors think that people would like to see them kiss, while it is not the truth.
The second reason might be that most directors are older already, and want to see some action them selves. No matter what, I am really sick of all the "soft porn" that is being put into movies, and it is really refreshing see something without sex scenes in it. The movie "Basic instinct II"" was absolutely gross. When it comes to the other part of your question, I don't think so, because gay people don't really care about heterosexual world, just like we don't care to see their sex scenes.
And of course' like everything dirty in this world, like drugs, violence; it sells.

part of the story, some movies need these scenes to explain the plot. If you don't like these types of movies then you should not go see them. I don't think it has anything to do with homosexuality. It's just a movie

I am not sure about promoting an anti-gay message but a pro-straight message preserves the species.
I would support anything which ensures more humans and human support systems in the future.
If movies remind us to have children if we are able then that is a good and positive message.
I think movies support a great many things ... ask another one!

Some movies serve to make a point and help people learn about the struggles of life; but more are made to make money and so they sell sex in one way or another.

Hollywood has a blueprint of a successfull movie. Who cares this movie was 100 years old.
Then they have to squeeze every movie written into this blueprint.
Hollywood believes that the main character must ALWAYS have a love interest - even if it has nothing to do with the story. 99% of decision makers in Hollywood have no originality or new ideas.

Because ever sense the hippies back in the sixtees started their whole thing, sex has become part of everything. It's nearly impossible to change that now. And because sex is so big they put it in movies for either comicor romantic. Everyone understands sex. That way no one leaves the theatre saying, "I don't get it".

All movies need sex appeal. Its important. People want to see kissing and lite sex. It makes them seem more real-life. I can't name one movie (even cartoon movies) that doesn't have at least one kiss.

Its called gratuitous sex, meaning, to be just tossed in, not important to the film....it sure isn't there to teach kids anything..except kissing and sexual messing around. Sometimes so more gals will watch it. Better box office take!
