if your spouse/gf whom you love who gained 50 pds insists on doing the gardening in her bikini in your neighborhood????????

I'd get the smallest bathing suit I could find and help her out. Once she sees your nuts hanging out the side of it, she'll get the point. That's one thing about women, you can be somewhat subtle and get the point across.

If you love her then let her do what makes her happy. If she is gaining weight in an unhealthy way ask her if there is anything wrong or if the 2 of you can go on a diet and exercise more together. Not because you are embarrassed but because you care about her health and self esteem.
I like the answer that said give her a kiss and say good work on the garden.

Take a photo of her and post it on the computer then send it to everyone you know ......innocently of course.....She might get the message then. But if she is happy with herself and you are embarassed maybe you are the one with issues- not her. Life is too short to be worried about eveyone else.

try to talk her out of it or take her to the movies instead of letting her do the garden, or volunteer to do it for her. you shouldn't be ashamed of her weight though, but she shouldn't be wearing a bikini if she has rolls.
