I just got engaged about 7 months ago and my wedding is in november so before i was engaged everyting was perfect once we got enaged it seemed like his mother hates me she will find anything to turn on me and i cant say much becuz its his mother hes also the baby of the family and what really bothers me is that he has 2 sisters whom are divorced and 2 brothers whom one is not married and is twice his age and the other one is married but she was pregenet and they will living together before they were married which is wrong in our religion so why am i looked down on if im doing everything the right way. Shes even made me cry and when i confronted her about it in front of my fiancee she called me a liar rite in front of him and I try to talk ot them and sit with them and comminicate but they expect me to kiss there *** and bend over backwards and i wont do it i have a life and want to spend it other than sitting with them watching tv all day or sitting and hear them gossip

dont talk about his mother to him because she is mother regardless, just be yourself and dont worry about any one else but you and your fiance. if she nags on him about you then he will turn on her. so the best thing to do is to kill her with kindness and dont talk about her to him. just focus on your wedding and what you have to do and if they want to be a part of it let them but dont let their negativity bring you down. this is supposed to be the happiest time of your life so dont let them spoil it for you.

This mom in law could be feeling some anxity because her baby is getting married..... Is he the favorite child? Dating is one thing but when the baby of the family is going to marry some parents (mom mainly) have a big problem with it .... Things do get better after the wedding in most cases. If you love your man then just ignore the mom. Make sure you and him have your own home.... Don't whatever you do move in with his parents!!!!!!

My mother-in-law was pretty rotten until my husband and I were married. My husband put his foot down and said, "If you want to see me, you must treat my wife the right way." 4 years later, we have already gone on a vacation together and we are getting ready to have them stay with us for over a week and I am not even concerned. My mother-in-law is great and one of my closest friends.
The key was my husband putting his foot down!

Sounds to me like you need to find a new family to marry into. You didn't say the important thing about your fiancee. If mother-in-law has her hooks imbedded into your fiancee in such an unloving way. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN IN THE OTHER DIRECTION. Your life will not be worth the pain of trying to please both your future husband and your mother-in-law.

You stated he was the baby in the family. There is the problem. The mom is going to resent you without you doing anything due to you "taking her baby away from her". Good luck and God Bless

Think long and hard about whether you want to marry this guy. I don't think the mother-in-law situation will get better after you're married, and if he won't take your side now in conflicts, he's not going to after you're married either.

i am so sorry fo you, i've been there, it's called between a rock n a hard spot, go ahead with all your plans, you are not gonna live with her, i hope.tell future hubby you will try to get along with them as long as he stands beside YOU. just be yourself when you are around them. remember, you go home with hubby not them, you have something they dont hav, if you know what i mean.stay cool an good luck to you.YOU CAN WIN THIS. you're gonna have to get your fiance to take your side and to set his mother straight.
the both of you need to stop going around them. if just you stop and he keeps going, mom will have won. But if she sees that she can't fool him and to alienate you is to alienate him, she'll back off.
if he really doesn't believe how nasty she's being, and sometimes its hard for the baby to believe that his mother is actually a woman and thus capapble of being catty.....get a tape recorder with the mini tapes, and tape what she says to you...or get it on the phone. evidence doesn't lie.

ask him to live far from his family where you two could find and settle and buld your own family without the interuption of his family.. mother in laws always spoil the relationships they ruin it.. be careful.. don't let them take your dream into nightmare..

turn ur fiance into a rebel and then move far far away from ur mother in law. If not, you could choose to make your fiance decide between u or his mom.

Ignore her. Tell you fiance you will be ignoring her untill she acts right. You dont deserve to be treated like that. As long as you and your husband are happy thats all that matters.
