No. Example! The war in Iraq, and in particular the so-called 'liberation' of Bagdad. What a joke. As though the 'allies' care about the welfare of the Iraqi people, their human rights or whether or not they have a viable future. They care only for the oil reserves held in that country. What's been done is a scar on all humanity. George Bush should be put on trial for lying to the American people. He's the antithesis of all that is good in this world.

The only way they could be the way they seem to be is if you knew EVER aspect of that situation, every person involved, every memory involved. So no, things aren't ALWAYS the way they seem to be.
Alot of people seem happy, but aren't
Some people live like they have money, but are really charging everything and can't pay their bills.

Things are not always as they appear to be. Someone may see you receive a small package as you hand over some money to someone else. Automatically they may assume you are buying drugs...when actually you are just accepting a package of M&M's. I notice you have asked quite a few questions. This is a good trait. Always check things out first...they may not be as them seem

Of course they are!! It is a matter or perception. "As seen by the beholder"! We all, always, see things a little differently, but that is the fun! Why would you want to see the same thing as everyone else? So as far as I'm concerned of course things are always what they seem!

Everyone sees things from their own perspective. What may seem bizarre to one person, can be commonplace to a another.
Sometimes it is a very hard lesson to learn that things aren't always what they seem to be. For me, I am a very honest person and take people at their word, at face value. My husband calls it being naive, I call it trusting. This mistaken perception has caused me to be hurt or disappointed, for example, by people who seemed to be friends when they really were not.
The old expression "You don't know someone unless you walk a mile in their shoes" is really true.

No I do not think things are always like they seem to be. There are always many different sides in any situation and it takes knowing each side (and being able to be impartial enought to actual see it from each viewpoint) and then combining them all before you can even begin to see the full picture.

Believe only half of what you hear and even less of what you see. No, things are not at all what they seem to be, most of the time. Things taken out of context can be misconstrued. A friendly hug can be mistaken as a romantic interlude.

Heck no. Spin doctors create the propaganda to go their way.
Observers perceive things from their point of view.
Why do you think eye witness accounts at a car accident don't always match completely?

Things are hardly ever what they seem. People as well as situations can be completely different once you get to know them/it better. People can put up a really good cover and once you get past that you might see things completely different.

Of course not. The media selectively reports on the news of the day. We only get tiny snapshots of the news. Even if you watch cable news you are only being fed what they want you to see.
