It could be, but it could also be a serious problem. Call your doctor right away and describe your symptoms to him/her. You may also be feeling the onset of labor.

I have had 7 kids and it is VERY normal AND PAINFULL indeed. The baby is coming down. IT DOESNT MEAN YOUR IN LABOR!! It just means its getting ready for it and the pressure is sometimes more than you can cope with. I have had to sit down in the middle of Walmart at times. If this is your first baby this process can take 2 weeks and if it is your 2nd or more it can happen just hours before labor. Look for a REALLY snotty like discharge. Mucous plug is the term. When they say mucous there is NO mistaking!!! Its like someone with a really bad cold blew there nose in your underwear. It is good sign that labor is about to begin. I have had 6 of the 7 kids 2 weeks before my due date so start walking!!!!

you may be feeling this stinging sesation due to the weight of the baby. Being that your getting closer to your due date. Dialation is much more than just stinging.

I don't believe you can feel dialation. The pain may be the baby's head adding pressure to one of your organs. I would call my ob and ask

Probably NOT! It's very common for pregnant women to develop inguinal hernias (a groing area hernia) at this stage of pregnancy.

If you don't feel right you should always ask your ob/gyn...go see your doctor don't play with your health and your child's health by asking questions to some strangers who have no interest in your well being...go see your doctor
