2002 was far worst than 2006.
1994 too wasn't a great tournament.
My rankings:
1978 *** great Holland! But Argentinians were better in final.
1982 **** Italy!!!!
1986 **** Argentina!!!!
1990 *** There were 4 teams at same level, Argentina, Germany, Italy, England.
1994 ** Boring
1998 ***** Great final match!
2002 * Never seen referees so dumb as in Japan/Kor. Italy and Spain were pulled out against Kor. In 2006 tournament we have seeing how much Kor was worthy... Turkey... Korea... Japan... Maybe it was the worst possible final ranking. Some great teams failed their match, Referee do the rest.
Now I'm putting ** at 2006, but I'm sure to increase this scoring in next stage. Only Italy has really better chance in Ukraine match, all other quarter-finals will be thrilling... Only Holland and Spain are out, the best teams are playing, so I think 2006 can become one of better WC I've seen.

As a proud Aussie fan, Yes I think this is the worst World Cup.
Not because my Aussie team was denied in our world cup dreams of going further then what we did,but come on ref open your eyes.
We all should find out who the ref's favour and back that team.

Not even, the World Cup has been skipped before, that was the worst world cup ever. I HONESTLY almost cried.

nooo way LOL. in terms of refereeing yes the officials suck! and there are more red cards and yellow cards than ever. but so many of the games have been and are promising to be so awsome that u cant possibly say that this is the worst world cup.
