I would be the first person to say that Oprah is awesome. She has payed her dues and has opened the door for many african american women and women in general.
But there have been times when she has said inappropriate things to guests. For example : A large white woman came on the show to talk about eating habits. The woman says "Just because I am large does not mean I am not healthy." And Oprah's response was (while looking and being flabbergasted):" I used that excuse for a long time myself."

Oprah has helped so many people and given so much but does she cross the line herself? Does it make her exempt?
Or are her views just ourselves looking in the mirror?

I agree with your assessment of Oprah. She really is an amazing woman, but I noticed her being a little too judgmental lately too and making what can only be called "snide remarks" to some guests. I was disappointed when she did that. Oprah is the "everywoman", so she needs to be more tolerant and non-judgmental than the rest of us. Her role should be to promote understanding of all people, even the weird ones. I hope her best friend Gayle will clue her in before she loses the respect of her fans.

I used to think that Oprah was a great woman, role-model, and inspiration. Lately, though, she's been on this "power of woman" kick, or even worse, "power of the black woman" kick. It seems like lately she only does stuff to get noticed. Sure she does a lot of good, but it seems like that is only an after thought.

No. I actually have continually stated on YA that England is the in straight forward words usa in Europe that arrests the mentally ill. yet all of us comprehend from the media that they do and are racially selective of their movements. She might want to receive the help she for sure desires yet she will be in a position to be omitted because no white individual will be so cruel and un-Christian as to make a criticism.

I can not stand Oprah. She is so fake that I cant stand it. She uses her money to get noticed(like she needs to be noticed). She has lost touch with reality. Money is a great thing, but when you have so much of it that you lose touch with were you came from its time for you to lose everything to remember.
