Based on the information from the Science / Discovery channel, the sun is approximately 93 billion miles from earth. That's something considering all the varied climates in the world. That goes to show how strong with heat the sun really is!!!!!!
93 BILLION - - - W O W . When you think of it, thats pretty far for such heat to penetrate earth.

i know the distance between the sun and the earth varies but it's not seasonal. Think about it when it's winter in the southern hemisphere it's summer in the northen one, so itbut the logic of the answers the earth must be huge to allow for such a great difference in distance. a few million km's i do NOT think so!!!! It's because the orbit of the earth is not a perfect circle, wake up boys and girls:))))
