Why do homely skinny girls get the guys quicker than beautiful chubby and intelligent women?

You know what, in all honesty you are probably correct that trim and fit girls get the guys quicker. The beautiful chubby and intelligent women aren't out of the race just because they get a slow start. That superficial beauty does tend to attract a guy like flypaper a fly. Believe it or not, most men learn. After a few times if there's anybody home in that beautiful body, the men aren't as easily fooled. We start looking at the whole person, not just the shell.

By the way, the homely skinny girls are usually overlooked at first also.

Try reading the netscape homepage and peruse some articles there (or follow the links). It seems to be a statistic that women prefer a casual encounter with a gorgeous hunk of a male. The rest of us get left behind for marriage. It seems women feel more secure marrying men that are not the "hunk" that might get stolen away from them.

Remeber also, there is genetic tendency for a persons general weight, height, build and so on. It is also generally obvious when a person does not care for themselves and is very obese or very skinny. That is not attractive and is not attractive behavior. That doesn't mean everyone is going to be perfect and at their ideal weight. It does mean that one is less likely to find an unkempt, unbathed, or persons with poor behavioral traits to be attractive no matter how shapely the body might be.

Consider also; what one might think that works for "beautiful people" may also backfire for them giving the slightly chubby girls or guys first shot at romance. I knew a girl in high school that was "drop dead gorgeous" that never had a date while in high school. Most of the guys thought for sure she was not going to ever be available so no one asked, except the shallow guys that were after one thing only. She didn't care for the guys like that.

So, don't sell yourself short and don't assume all guys are shallow. Yeah, the "skinny" girls might turn our heads now and then, but it takes something more to steal our hearts.

They don't. It's that simple. I live in a military town with alot of younge very good looking men. They are drawn to the cute, skinny girls. They are also shallow and spend all their free time in the many bars we have here. It's all about confidence. If you have it guys pick up on it quickly. I'm a "beautiful, chubby and intellident woman" and sister, I no longer have problems getting a guy. I used to ask the same questions and bemoan my fate. Then I realized. Who cares? I'm beautiful and intelligent. Also, I keep my man warm in the winter and cooler in the summer.

Jenny Craig isn't necessarily seen as attractive in America. Look at it this way: No mater how ugly a guy is, he can still get a gurl because gurls aren't realy attracted to looks. The same applies for women. Cuz I know a 300lb woman with a bierd that gets guys in bed all the time! She has hair on her arms too! I'm a dating expert and even I'm surprised! Everyone can find a mate even though the relationship may not last.

Well, I would say that im quite skinny, and intelligent, so your question does not suit everyone. However, most guys dont care about intelligence, they want "physical attraction", and a "trophy girl". Lots of men are shallow, but will learn from talking to this "homely skinny girl" that she has no brains at all, and get disgusted with her stupidity. Think of it like this, if you could have one what would it be.... beauty or brains.... Hard one huh?

What you say is not necessarily true, but from my experience, I have learned these things
-Some men lack self assurance and gravitate to homely girls because there's a smaller chance of rejection and less competition

-Some men want women they can control

-Some men say they want intelligent women, and they might, for bragging rights to their parents. (I date a biomechanical engineer sounds better to mom and dad than I date a file clerk) But some of those same men don't want you to be intelligent enough to make them feel inadequate

-Some men like skinny girls because television tells them that's what they are supposed to like and they can't be expected to think for themselves

-Most smart, well rounded, self-assured men will accept you the way you are, skinny, chubby, homely, whatever. They will see your heart and your personality, not the package you come in

- But even self-assured men would take skinny, pretty smart if they could get it

I have to agree most men only look at what looks good on the outside,the mature ones know that you shouldnt judge a book by it cover. I am a big gorl and i dont get as much action as i use when i was skinny but thats okay i love me and everyone should.

Why would you want a guy who only wants stupid girls? I'm not as skinny as I used to be but I am beautiful and very intelligent. My husband loves that we can have "intellectual intercourse" as well as the physical kind. Who wouldn't want a man like that??

have u seen that movie, shallow hall if u have wached it then u will change ur mind about that question in some cases some boys are looking for the heart more than the shape it is true i have been with very lovely looking girls but there heart is as ugly as hell the kinder heart and the better listener and loyal are the most girls who are wanted esspecielly for love others r just for pleasure.

homely skinny girls get guys because most men act like they don't like chubby women but most men do it's like a fad. but men like myself love chubby chicks over skinny girls homely or pretty, and it isn't just the black boys that like em i'm white and love my chubby girlfriend. i think chubby women are better in bed and make really good partners in life. but hey the more men that don't like chubby women means more for me. don't ever let the shallow men discourge you there are alot more like me out there
