Open the case - look to see whether you have PCI (short) or ISA (long) slots available for adding a card. Once you see what slots are available, go to an online store such as newegg.com, search for sound cards, then narrow your search by specifying the type of expansion slot (ISA or PCI) you'll be using. Then, check the product descriptions to make sure the card you select has Windows 98 drivers.

i'd imagine no longer. be careful round capacitors(tiny or large cylindrical battery like issues that could want to save quantities of electrical energy) as they could zap you with small quantities of AC electrical energy even if it continues to be lively, some would no longer be lively. i imagine damaged capacitors would launch an acid. If an acid starts to burn your skin, do no longer soak it in water (acid will eat up the hydrogen contained in the water-to that end extra burning) pour vinegar on it to cancel out the acid

Any computer retailer. Just get one that has the same expansion slot type as your system and pop it in.

If you have a PCI slot, then go to WalMart. If you have an ISA slot, then go to a GoodWill technology center.
