no. like a horse a mule cannot see directly in front or under it. When they are walking they cannot see their feet. Which is why mules have a reputation for being stubborn...without a lot of trust they won't put their feet where they consider dangerous. There is a blind spot under them they can't see.

A mule’s eyes are set in the skull in such a manner that they can see all four feet at once. A horse can only see his front feet.
