There's no good way to convert. My wife wears a men's 32, but in women's sizes, she wears anything from a 8 to a 12 depending on who makes the pants to the style and cut.

Women who are more athletic generally will find men's pants to fit them well. Women's pants are generally much wider in the hip, which for slender or less curvy women can be a problem. Check your body type to see if they will work.

Finally, check your waist size and your inseam; that's how men's pants will be sized. A good rule of thumb is to add an inch to the stated waist size to account for hips. You can have them tailored in at the waist if necessary. Also, look at pleated front pants; they have lots of space if that's needed.

I work in a job that requires uniforms, and most of the women I know "cross dress" and wear men's pants. They claim that they fit better, and are handier, with bigger pockets, etc. Good luck.

If you want to wear men's pants, remember that the waist will be much to big for you since men have bigger waists than hips and we, ladies, the opposite.
