i have 5. i trust them all. u have to be hard. just cuz someone says hi, doesnt mean u r friends. most of my friend i have known for 3-4 years. u kno u can trust someone when they tell u there personal secrets. its more than just knowing someone. a friend is someone that will call u up when u r sick. will get ur homework when u r suck at home. will break a couple of rules with you, and not blame it ALL on u when it comes to the princepal office. thats a friend. ask u srlf all those questions and then u will know how many friends u have. here are some of the friends you should look for:
laugh, brains, flirt, bad boy/girlish, girly girl, and rough boy
i have 6 great friends, with all of there personalities.
you want a comedian for a friend, and who doesnt need a laugh once in a while?
Brains is fun to be with, and it helps when homework is due next period! U want a naughty one, so if u plan on doing [something] forbidden, u know they wont back out on u. A flirt is fun, and will probably go with u to a dance if no one else will. a girly girl is wha some people need cuz no want to go shopping alone! and what girl doesnt have a sudden urge to play sports! thats wat the rough boy is for. well. hows that answer? lol. hope i answered it right!

It's been said that a person will have no more than 5 true friends in a lifetime. I believe that, as right now I only have 1 - my husband. We simply live in a community where the people's viewpoints do not match our own, and we're waiting for our daughter to graduate from high school so we can move away. Sure, we're acquainted with many people and socialize a bit, but these are not people we could call upon in a crisis.

I have lots of people I know, but friends is another story. I have "ONE" friend that I met about 30 years ago. We have been through thick and thin and still we are friends. We have fought, stop talking to each other and always made up. A true friend is someone who loves you with flaws and all. You probably won't have many of them along the way. But you only need one, one that stays no matter what is happening in your life, one that will sit with you when you are crying, not trying to tell you what to do. In all a friend is someone you can count on no matter what.

I could count my true friends on one hand I have hundreds of acquaintances, your true friends are the ones who stick by you no matter what, are always there for you when you feel your worst, your best or anything in between, they just want to be your friend because you are you. Just remember to have a true friend you must be a true friend to. There is no certain way to know who is genuine and who is not at the start of any friendship, I usually observe how people treat others for a while at the start before I give away anything of myself.

You already have some good answers. I'm 45 and have traveled too much to have OLD freinds. I miss that. But I can BE a freind quickly. People feel safe around me and often feel helped by me. This gives me 10s of thousands of people glad to have known/met me. I've learned that If I can understand the other persons' Values and Perspective, then I know WHAT I can trust them with. Wife & mom are true old freinds. One single man and a couple are the people that seem to Always be glad to see me comming.

67. MP IP JS VB LP JP LP MP EvG MvG MdT HU JI KJ FR PO NM GT FR BH FR DE JO PL KO JU DE BH MKL AKF KI JU SE FR GT Get 67 loyal friends by being one. Listen & remember people's names / situations / likes / dislikes / hobbies. Then when you see them again say "Hi Sue, how's your horseriding coming along?" - She will take an interest in you and you will build a beautiful friendship. There is no such thing as a BEST friend. All friends should be your best friend. To achieve this - be a best friend first.

Well I have approximately 20 friends on my 360 page, but most are just folks I met online and do not know them in real life cause they are in some other state or country...
Some folks in my address book are family and friends I actually know from them being part of my life...
But I would say the majority of folks I know are casual friends online...
I think to have true friends you must be close enough to spend time with each other and have similar interests and at least be able to see them in person and know them for several years...

I have a close knit circle of 8 friends. We have been through a lot together, and are always there. Friendships, at least loyal ones are made over time, through trials I believe.
