some celebrities just aren't worth looking up to

because they're on stage! hence, they're "up" there, so people need to look up... lol

Because they are rich and most are beautiful. I personally don't look up to any celebrities but then again, I don't like very many people. The only celebrity I see worthy of looking up to is any celeb that Iis promoting good behavior and is doing good for other countrys and world problems (ex. PETA and raising money for poor countries)

A lot of people think their lives look so great. People think celebrities lives look very fun and they get great stuff for free. Some celebrities have great songs and characters that makes them look like they are normal. People also think celebrities look pretty. They act like they are nice on television, but some celebrities are complete jerks.

I guess because most people want the attention, money, and lifestyle celebrities have. Some celebrities are good people, though. Those are the ones no one cares about.

Personally I d o not look up to them but this country measures success with the amount of wealth that you have and celebs are wealthy. I think some people also look up to some celebs because some worked hard to get where they are and used to be just average people doing things like waiting on tables and people would like to believe that something like going from waiting on tables to making movies could happen to them.

Well, one reason is that the media covers every move they make. Also, some people equate celebrity with intelligence, which is rarely the case.

I think that its stupid that ppl look up to celebrities. I mean c'mon they are just normal people that have a job as acting, singing, etc. Me personally I would never look up to anyone but God, but that's my preference.

couse they c them at the movie, that made the people hungry to c every thing about them,
i think its a crazy thing,
some of people search for the nude celebrity pics.

I really don't know, why. When I was a little girl I use to, but now I think of most of them as really stupid, and something I would never want to become in a million years!

some of us wish to live in a fantasy world... the celebs get away with anything. Look at OJ Simpson.
