After my company made me lay off my employees two Christmas's in a row, I decided that it was time for a change at all costs. I realized that I would never make much more than I was making at my company and that the sacrifices I was making to be in my position were no longer worth it. It was the best decision that I ever made!

I guess one day I just realized that I was putting all my efforts into making someone else rich. I then got into their mindset and thought "Why can't I do what they're doing?" I'm an intelligent person that is fully capable of doing what they're doing, so why not do it? I have dreams and visions the same as they do!
So then I did my homework. I didn't have the cash flow to start a commercial business or franchise, so my other option was network marketing. I needed to find a product that was cutting edge and of benefit to the baby boomers. This gives you an 18 year window of opportunity like Gerber enjoyed in the 50's, Fisher Price and Mattel in the 60's, Real estate in the 70's, etc.
I found that what the boomers are looking for now is health and anti-aging. Quite by accident I found just that product and found it to be very beneficial to me, so I got to work marketing it. I now have a very lucrative business that gains momentum daily with the potential to earn far more than even a franchise could offer me!

What provoked me to start my own business was the constant non caring of the corporate world. No matter how hard you work, you are just a robot for someone elses profit. I Woke Up!! After years of working 2 to 3 jobs at a time, barely making it, tired and unhappy, it was my turn to profit. I deserved a happy and prosperous life as we all do, and of course it can be hard to "just find". You have to decide on it, and start moving toward your dream. Believe and Trust that you deserve it and you will find a way. Whether it be an opportunity presented or an inspired idea, you will know. Just don't give up on yourself. We did not come here to suffer and struggle.

You can choose differently! I did and now I am blessed with a fantastic business of my own. I work with a wonderful community of empowered people, when and where I want to, assisting others in realizing their own dreams, financial and personal. It is perfect. It is simple. It is gratifying and IT IS FUN!!

I felt that I know about the job more than my boss who barely can right few good words.
I contacted some friends in the magazine business and told them about my dream.. It was such a great surprise to see that they were excited about the idea to start our own small mag.
Here we are, struggling but we're sure we'll be big... I can see the signs of our success..
So, you have to take the risk and move, before it's too late

I began reading a book called Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. It made me think in a different way. When the opportunity laid itself out before me, I began running my business part time and 5 months later quit my corporate job. That was 1 year and 10 months ago, and I've learned SO much!

A combination of being layed off, barely avoiding layoffs due to business closings and sales. I started a business and kept my day job. Once the business generates more than the day job I'll probably quit the day job.

I had been in a job and the pay they promised to give me never came. I got tired working for somebody else and having to deal with these issues. This was the last of a series of such problems with managers. I just had enough.... Working for yourself isn't easy, even if you have the required dedication and attitude...
