Read messages disapear in outlook 2003?

After I read a message (or mark as read) messages in inbox, they disappear and I cannot locate them again - how do I stop thsi from happening?

Are you looking in unread folder or inbox? Because unread folder will move of any read messages to related locations. If not, check your settings of your rules to see if there are any rules setup. Good luck.
