KC Royals announcer

I don't know what your reasoning is for wanting to make such a move. The job of the announcer is to announce the game in an interesting manner and to demonstrate an in depth knowledge of the game. In addition, he needs to be a devoted fan of the home team. If Denny Matthews meets all of these criteria, he should not be "dumped."

I hope this helps.

Yeah, Denny Matthews is pretty boring. No emotion whatsoever from the guy. But, as others have pointed out, it can be hard to get excited about the Royals. As to the "Dump Buddy" campaign, he is the least of the teams worries. He is a knowledgeable, old-school baseball man who is respected by players and colleagues alike. Yeah, he's never coached a winning team, but let's be honest here; managers in MLB have relatively little power when it comes to personnel, and without talent, you can't win, period. So give the guy a break, eh?

I have heard a few games he announced, I don't think we was much different from most other announcers. Personally, I think KC baseball fans have bigger problems than announcers, maybe you should spearhead a "Dump Buddy" campaign.

not me, since George Brett retired, I don't follow KC anymore, so I don't feel I should get involved with someone's pet peeves regarding KC's announcer.
I follow Tampa Bay these days. Go Scott Kazmir And Rocco Baldelli.

Getting rid of the announcer should be the least of KC's concerns.

I'm surprised anyone even listens to the Royals games on radio or watches on TV.

You should have a "Dump David", as in Glass, campaign. He complains about the big-market teams having all the money, but gets millions in revenue-sharing and keeps it for himself instead of putting it toward his team. As a Yankee fan, it really annoys me to know that my team is making him richer.
