Good Question guess babies are the only life that matters. what about our sacrificed Troops?

In my opinion it is very simple. A child has no choice, they are innocent beings. They deserve a chance to be born and bring happiness to this world.

On the other hand you have some major scum that robs a store and kills innocent people, your brother, sister or parent, friend. They had the chance to be born and grow into a productive member of society. They chose another path and don't start going off on a tangent they were poor had no choice.

They are grown and made their choice. We don't need to keep these particular parasites alive in prison at the expense of the community. What if they should ever get out and commit another crime again.

There is a big differnece between allowing a beautiful child to be brought into the world and taking out a murderer and waste of humanity.

Certain people just do not need to be here. The liberal thought is lets kill the unborn children and let's keep the drain on society alive in prison.

I would much rather have the new life with the potential to create a cure or make the world a better place. Keeping killers alive in prison with no remorse is a waste of time and energy.

There is a great difference between the death penalty and a childs right to be born. Other than rape or incest, I am against the needless killing of unborn children.

If you are not responsible then have your tubes tied. Educate yourself on prevention, that's too easy. Actually you have to be a real moron to think that you might not get pregnant if you are unprotected.

One final thought, if you reverse the question, liberals and dems think it is fine to kill an innocent unborn child but are for keeping a murderer alive, a person that took the life of another innocent person. INNOCENT is the key word here. Liberals want to kill innocence and allow the sinner to flourish.

That's a sick thought.

Or if you like they are for abortion but not for the death penalty. So in fact they want to kill the innocent and keep the killer alive. Which one makes more sense

That is a good question, but I think one which is flawed in its orgin because it assumes that there is a causal relationship between being conservative and support for the death penalty and support for not aborting pregnancy and this is not true. Your quesiton does have merit however because it seeks to reconcile what appears to be a mutually exclusion positions. However there is no contridiction between being in support of the death penalty and at the same time supporting the position of 'pro-life'.

I'll try to answer it for my personal perspective.

An explanation for your question is found in the simple principle of personal responsibility which is held by many people from various political persuasions. This principle is based on the belief that each of us should be completely responsible and accountable for our decisions and behvior. So, if two people engage in sex as a choice because of attraction, love etc, to be responsible is to acknowledge the risk of pregnancy, hence the need to take preventative measures by using some form of contraception. If they are not responsible and choose to have unprotected sexual relations they then risk an unwanted pregnancy. Then when pregnancy occurs their irresponsible act is compounded by asking the fetus to pay for their lack of good judgement as well as in some cases to ask the state to subsidize the expense associated with the medical expense for aborting the pregnancy. This is an abdication of personal responsibility, becuase they wanted the candy without the tooth decay. In the case of the death penalty the same principle applies. A convicted murderer is put to death becuase it is the way that the 'state' forces them to be accontable and responsible for their actions.

The arguement surrounding your question becomes emotionally charged and rhetorical when moral authority is imposed, which I have tried to avoid. Suffice to say that there are conservatives, liberals as well as others who believe that we all should be accountable for our actions. There is no requirement for one to be of any political persuasion to hold such a belief. So based on the principle of personal respnsiblity and accountablity there is no contradition between support for the death penalty and a position in favor of full term pregnancy.
Hope this helps.

It's simple. Conservatives are NOT "pro-life". You cannot be for the death penalty and still call yourself "pro-life". These people are properly anti-abortion rights. It's like putting gold leaf on a pile of dried dog crap. No matter how you try to pretty it up, it's still dog crap.

Wow, you're really on a roll with naivete today.

The death penalty's purpose is to enforce the ideal of Justice. Conservatives don't enjoy killing people, and the death penalty isn't about revenge-- it's about Justice. Sometimes our convictions have to be compromised in efforts to the most morally just thing.

You're shaming your alma mater with $h!t like this, yo.

B/c murder and the death penalty are two different things.

Same question, but reversed. Why are libral pro-choice people against the death penalty?
I guess that would mean killing babies are ok, but putting people to death who kill other people aren't. Doesn't make sense when ya think about it.

Listen to all of these stupid conservatives. When it comes to stem cell research and abortion they are the same thing ohhh but the death penalty is completely different territory.Conservatives have no concept of personal choice . if you wont support a womans right to choose why wont you support the policies that would benefit single mothers like planned parenthood organisations

That is the paradox. Love of unborn life but disdain for the living who have violated rules. I don't know if it makes sense or not but it certainly is a paradox. Conservatives tend to be one way or the other, not wishy washy. So maybe they do it to just plain take a position. By the way a lot of con girls have abortions.

"pro-life" has nothing to do with the death penalty...you can't just associate that phrase with anything you want to try to make a point....

Do half the things people do like that make sense to you. You will never understand why they do this because they don't know ether. They are sheep led by a blind leader.

PS.
If the Pope can forgive the man who tried to kill him they should all follow that example

Because we believe that by eliminating certain 'vermin' from our society, we protect the remainder of society. Those who deliberately take the life of another human being, have forfeited their right to life.
