Does that really matter? Seriously, while all of these "American Idol" people may, and I stress, may have talent, the fact remains that we are a society that focuses on the outer shell of a person. Lots of women found him sexy, so they tend to vote on looks, outside of him getting massive support from the southern states.. as with Kat -- her voice may be good, her choice of songs really did not showcase her talent. I only caught glimpses of the show, as I do not support these reality shows.
Just remember that superficially, the better looking of the batch will always make the cut now matter how so-so their talent is.

Becuz everyone thinks that he is the king of jazz and Chris and Kat should have been the last two together instead of Kat and Hicks.

Because he got way more votes!!! I wanted Kat to win.. but it's true, look where she's from! She's from CA, he's from the south... so he gets all the south votes no matter what. People in CA aren't all into doiing that, they are busy with other things... so she looses a lot of votes because of that. Say if it was reverse... I say Kat would have def. won it! The south is a huge amount of votes, and even if they don't like Taylor, they will vote because he's from where they are from!

I can answer that! Kat didn't move around on stage she sang good but didn't move and about Chris I dont know he got voted off before Kat (i think) and Taylor sang Awesome and put like 100,000% into it so Taylor woudl've won!

Because more Americans voted for him. So many people say "why, why why" and "how is this possible"? The simple fact is that people voted for him. The show may groom certain people (*cough* chris *cough*) to win but ultimately the responsibility of who wins is on the people who voted.

Why do you think they call it ''AMERICAN Idol?
It what american (majority) likes.
We need some differnt people. I say still the best American Idol was Fantasia . That girls sings from her soul and that is what makes you a singer.

i personally think that it was another scinario in which it was a joke and people banned together and voted for a singer that was not nearly as capable as the other contestants
