Depends on your body, everyone is different. I have the Depo injection every 12 twelve weeks and I eat more for the first week or so before and after the jab. My appetite just increases.
It is not a definite side effect but some people do find there appetite grows. That is the only way you will put on weight. Other side effects I have had from the oral contraceptive pill was brown patches on my arms!! I was taken off it and have swapped and changed until I settled on the Depo jab. Like I said everyone is different. Anyway you would put on more weight by getting in the family way!! lol

I was on the combined pill for 10 years, never had a problem with my weight. Have put on a stone since stopping it, hormone's fluctuate more now, and increased appetite isn't on list of side effects

Depends on how you will react to the change or increase of hormones. Every body is different and how you react to them is your own. If you start to feel like you are hungry all the time or you are snacking, eating more food at meals and you are craving food that isn't healthy (ALL the time), then go see your doctor and get switched to something that doesn't have the particular hormone that is suspected of bothering you. You don't have to gain the weight while taking them. Take charge of your body and tell the doctor if its becoming bothersome.

Your appetite will increase, but you cant gain actual weight unless you eat more, the pill itself will not put weight on u. Im on the pill and have been for the last 7 years.

It did put weight on me, partially from fluid retention and partially from increased appetite. In the long run, I was not able to take them as they pushed my blood pressure up due to the fluid retention. Of course, when I was given them (in the 60's), they were of a stronger dose. However, in my post-menopausal years, I was also not able to take HRT. Point being, if you have blood pressure problems, you may not be a good candidate for these pills. Also, consider your breast cancer and aneurysm family history.

All you need to remember, Chocolate is not your freind, In fact no sugar is. Low Salt foods are good, But don't overchange your diet. Eat carrotts or fruit when peckish, Walk instead of driving/bus, start cycling or a form of sport like walking!
You should then notice only a slight difference, but it may well be a good difference.

Yes contraceptive pill always make you over weight. It is natural, because of the progestrone hormone. For a month use pill and next month use condom and next month "calender".

I put on about half a stone over two years. Not bad considering I'm not exactly skinny and put on weight easily.
The main things are that it can increase your appetite and lower you metabalism. Just be careful and sensible about what you eat.
